Pastor - Harold Blankenship
Pastor Blankenship has been pastoring for twenty seven years and has been used of the Lord around the world in seeing many come to know Christ as Savior. His commitment to Christ and His church is evident by his love for God and love for people. It is his desire to help others develop a greater walk with the Lord Jesus Christ through a personal relationship with him. His passionate and powerful preaching will encourage your walk with the Lord. Pastor Blankenship is married to his high school sweetheart, Peggy, who serves alongside of him each and every day. They have three children: Jonathan, Jared, and Jessalyn. Jonathan and Jared serve together in an Independent Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC while their daughter Jessalyn is preparing soon for Bible College.
Assistant Pastor - John Dorothy
Pastor Dorothy joined the staff at PLBC on October 1, 2008. Bro. John grew up in Illinois working with his parents in the bus ministry and has a sincere burden to go into the highways and the hedges and get the gospel to lost souls. As youth pastor at PLBC, his desire is to see God strengthen teenagers in their walk with God and bring families together. Bro. John and his wife Kelly moved to Gaston County in August of 2003 and God has blessed them with three boys and one little girl.
Spanish Pastor - Jerry McLean
Pastor McLean serves as the Spanish Pastor here at PLBC. The McLean's came to PLBC approximately 8 years ago to start this special ministry to reach the Hispanic community of Gaston county. Jerry and Krissy met while attending Landmark Baptist College and married after graduation. The Lord has blessed the McLeans with four children: Alayna Hope, Ariana Faith, Samuel Elias, and Sofia Grace.
