PASTORAL STAFF  Tony Bazen -Pastor If you are around Pastor Bazen for long, he will tell you what happened to him on December 3rd, 1987.  Nearing the end of the first semester of his senior year at North Carolina State University, he went to a revival meeting at a small country church.  That Thursday night his life was forever changed when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was involved in Christian education and Youth Ministry for 10 years at churches in New Bern, Kannapolis, and Mt. Holly before accepting the pastorate in 2000 at the new work that became Promised Land Baptist Church. He has a deep love for people and a burning desire to be involved in reaching the world in our generation. Tony married the former Joanna Moran, daughter of the pastor of the church in Durham where he was saved.  They will celebrate 17 years of marriage together on August 4th. She is the church pianist, sings specials, and enjoys her 3rd/4th Grade Girls Sunday School class.   The Lord has richly blessed their family with two precious daughters.  Rebecca Dawn, their oldest child, was born on October 16th, 1995.  She was saved at the age of 4.  She enjoys playing the piano, singing, and writing. Bethany Grace was born on July 10th, 1997.  She was also saved at the age of 4.  She enjoys reading, singing, and playing outside.

Jerry McLean Assistant Pastor Director Of Hispanic Ministries Brother Jerry grew up in Haines City, Florida.  He attended Landmark Baptist Church from the time he was born.  As a young man he was led to Christ by a Sunday School teacher. As a teenager, he was asked to help in Landmark's Hispanic ministry.  God burdened his heart for the Hispanic community, and he began to learn the language.  After graduating from Landmark Baptist College, he taught in their Christian School before joining Promised Land Baptist Church as the Director of Hispanic Ministries. He met his wife Krissy while at Bible College.  They were married after graduation and have been blessed with 3 precious children: Alayna, Ariana, and Samuel.

John Moran  Assistant Pastor Director of Senior's Ministries   John Moran grew up in Detroit, Michigan.  He was saved out of Roman Catholicism, and called into the ministry as a young man. He met Marcia Keener in Bible College, and they were married after graduation.  The Lord has blessed them with 3 children who are all actively involved in the ministry.  Their daughter, Joanna, is married to Pastor Tony Bazen. Brother Moran has over 40 years of experience in the pastorate.  He has pastored in North Carolina and South Carolina. He and Marcia have been instrumental in developing a strong, vibrant Senior's Ministry at Promised Land.

Mike Mustin  Assistant Pastor Director of Bus Ministry Brother Mike has faithfully served the Lord since he was saved almost 25 years ago.  For years he directed a thriving Bus Ministry in Charlotte. He is a multi-talented man who sings, preaches, and even runs his own business in his "spare" time.  We are blessed to have him as part of the Promised Land Team. He and his wife Debbie have 4 children: David, Melissa, Jennifer, and Daniel.
